Washington Leadership Conference

WLC is the ultimate leadership experience for FFA members. It provides hands-on experiences that help attendees learn how to apply leadership skills to real-life situations. This conferences focuses on personal development, diversity, advocacy and service. There are seven, one-week sessions each summer.

Will you be there when 2,000 FFA members converge on our nation's capitol? Will you be there when 11,000 hours community service are dedicated to help those less fortunate? Will you be there when the sun goes down and the night tour of Washington, D.C. begins?   Will you be there when FFA members become authentic leaders?

Each summer, over 2,000 FFA members will travel to Washington, D.C., to attend the National FFA Organization's Washington Leadership Conference. Their focus will be to take their leadership skills to the highest level by learning to know their purpose, value people, take action and serve others.

Located in our nation's capitol, the Washington Leadership Conference is a five-day event that trains FFA members to make a positive impact in their school, local community, state and country.   The conference focuses on the following areas:

  • Knowing your Purpose

  • Valuing People

  • Taking Action

  • Serving Others

The capstone event of the Washington Leadership Conference is a civic engagement activity, which takes leadership and service learning to new standards. National FFA partners with the several organizations in the Washington D.C. area for the WLC service day.   In past years, WLC participants have dedicated over 25,000 hours of service to the Washington, DC area.
