Membership Requirement
All student participants must be paid FFA members before the state competition membership check or their scores will not be counted toward a total team score and they will not be eligible for individual recognition. Advisors can confirm FFA membership through their AET account. To account for challenges in navigating school finance systems, we encourage advisors to make sure all of their students are on a roster no later than April 1. We will use an AET-connected system for convention registration this year – so you should not be able to register a student who isn’t on your roster which will help you catch any memberships you may have missed.
Timeline, Logistics, and Recognition by Event
Specific details for each event can be found on the Career and Leadership Development Events page.

State Convention Foundation Ambassador Application -
The Minnesota FFA Foundation Ambassador program is now accepting applications. The purpose of the ambassador program is to provide a leadership program to Minnesota FFA members which will allow opportunities during the Minnesota FFA Convention to interact and connect with FFA supporters, donors, and potential sponsors. The program, in turn, gives industry representatives and donors the opportunity to interact with FFA members and learn more about the FFA program and its mission.
Adult Engagement Opportunities
The State FFA Convention activities would not be possible without the support of volunteers!

Convention Policies
Local Supervision:
The State FFA Convention is a state-level experience but students participate as members of local programs. FFA chapters are responsible for providing appropriate supervision, transportation, etc., and meeting the expectations of their district. Chapters should have adequate chaperone to student ratios and all chaperones should meet the minimum requirements established by their district for the supervision and safety of minors. MN FFA will work to provide optional sample planning resources for advisors. These may include permission slips, codes of conduct, etc.
Noteworthy – by registering for the convention, attendees are attending an event that will be live broadcast and where their photo may be taken as a participant. FFA will share these images on social media but will work not to share the name of students unless they are award recipients. Advisors with students who should not be captured and have their image shared (even anonymously) should connect with state staff so we can work to protect that minor.
Harassment, Code of Conduct, General Behavior:
FFA has a harassment policy and a code of conduct that set minimum standards of behavior for FFA events. All students are expected to abide by the expectations outlined in the Minnesota FFA Code of Conduct, FFA Code of Ethics, and State convention Rules of Conduct. There are policies that can lead to the removal of participants.
Support the State FFA Convention through the
Minnesota FFA Foundation.
