State Leadership Conference for Chapter Leaders
State Leadership Conference for Chapter Leaders is the second leadership conference offered for Minnesota FFA members. It is a two and a half day conference that focuses on the member’s ability to serve on the chapter level. Aspects of leadership and personal growth are also covered. This conference is designed primarily for high school sophomore and juniors.
Assess teamwork and accountability practices
Define appropriate etiquette for telephone use, dining and travel
Practice communication Skills (speaking, listening, delivering presentations)
Identify service learning within their communities
Evaluate time management and organizational methods
Identify FFA opportunities on the state and national levels
Define roles of a chapter officer
Participate in a chapter exchange of ideas
When: June 27-29 or 30-July 1, 2020
Registration begins at 11 am on day one of the conference. Students travel home at 3 pm on day three.
Where: Deep Portage Conservation Reserve (2197 Nature Center Dr NW, Hackensack, MN 56452)
Who: FFA members in grades 10-12 are encouraged to attend.
Registration fee per member will be set at the November board meeting and includes conference materials, lodging, and meals.
