This one-of-a-kind event is designed specifically for students like you—those who want to sharpen their technical skills, explore cutting-edge innovations, and connect classroom learning with real-world opportunities with professionals in the industry. Whether you're welding, digging into hydraulic systems, working on a diesel engine, or solving problems, the T.E.C. Conference will prepare you for success in the ag industry while you rub shoulders with current industry professionals.

Schedule: The schedule is significantly different from year 1. FFA members may reapply; however, we will give preference to new applicants.
Sunday Arrival @ Drury Hotel in St. Paul at 2 PM
Sunday Afternoon and Evening @ John Deere Training Center
Monday Morning and Afternoon- Deep Dive Tech Rotations - John Deere Training Center, RDO, and Welding Department at Dakota Community Technical College. Each Session will be 1 hour of hands-on training, troubleshooting, and project-based activities with industry professionals.
Monday Evening - Networking Reception and Industry Connections
Tuesday - Industry Tours
Packing List (beyond regular hygiene items):
No O.D. Required
Each participant will receive a T-shirt and a polo shirt on Monday. Please wear an FFA/FFA Chapter shirt/sweatshirt on Sunday. Appropriate, clean jeans for Sunday-Tuesday; dark jeans or Khaki Pants for Monday night Reception.
Wear closed-toe shoes for all activities (no Dudes or similar). Wear clean, solid, good-quality, shop-quality footwear. Jackets, hats, and gloves are necessary for tours and outside work at John Deere.
2027 Conference Details
When: Feb 28 - March 2, 2027 (Running at the same time as APEX and using the same hotel location for drop off.)
Where: Students will stay in a hotel in St. Paul, MN. Additional transportation will be provided to access additional conferences at the John Deere Training Center in Eagan, St. Paul College, and the individual tour sites. Students will be returned to the Capitol and/or Drury Inn at noon on Tuesday.
Who: FFA members in grades 10-12 are encouraged to apply.
Cost: $200/student T.E.C. fees include lodging, meals, transportation once a student has arrived at the conference, conference materials, and programming. (Scholarships likely available - TBA)
Complete AET Waiver in your personal AET Account - this requires a parent signature. Please be sure this is complete.
